Free CELPIP practice test: common questions

Is this CELPIP practice test really free?

Yes. You create a free account with your email, and no card is asked for. Each account gets one free sample test.

Is this the official CELPIP sample test?

No. CelpMock is an independent practice site. The official free practice tests are on the CELPIP website. Ours follows the same test format: the same task types, question counts and timers.

How long is the CELPIP test, and how long is the sample?

The real CELPIP-General test takes about three hours in one sitting. The sample test takes about 50 minutes, and a full mock test here takes about 2 hours 40 minutes.

Does the practice test come with answers?

Yes. After you finish, you see every Listening and Reading question with your answer and the correct one.

How is the sample test scored?

You get a CELPIP level from 0 to 12 for each skill. Writing and Speaking are marked on the four criteria the real test uses. Listening and Reading are estimated from one part each, so they are less exact than in a full mock test.

What do I need to take it online?

Headphones, a microphone and about 50 minutes. The Listening recording plays once, as it does in the real test.

Can I take the free CELPIP mock test again?

The free sample test is one per account. After it, a pass opens the full mock tests and practice by part.
